“Low Cost”-conditioning chamber
High humidity for polyamides

The easiest way of conditioning of polyamide injection moulded parts and for storing PA semi-finished products before processing.

Do not rely on natural humidity. Neither electric power nor connections needed inside the chamber – only the amount of water in the respective chamber which will be absorbed by the polyamide items.

This type of conditioning is particularly suitable when quick conditioning is not required while still a high quality of the polyamide products shall be achieved. The PA items can absorb more humidity inside the chamber than under natural conditions.

A certain number of special humidifiers accomplishes a humidity of up to 100% inside the chambers. These humidifiers may often be regenerated.

The chamber is accessible. Casings, tanks or other large items can be loosely placed or stacked into the chamber. Small parts can be put into rotary stacking containers or KLT-containers (small load carriers); however, in this case it must be ensured that the items to be conditioned get enough air. Baskets are most suitable. The containers may also be placed offset to each other rotated through 90°.

The chamber can be equipped as needed with shelves or any supporting fixture individually adapted to the relevant items. For this purpose, stainless steel or plastic material is to be preferred. Since the conditioning time may take several days depending on wall thickness and quantity of the items, we recommend several small chambers for 1 or 2 daily productions.

In particular, the conditioning chambers are also suitable for companies which mechanically process semi-finished polyamide products. Conditioning of such semi-finished products allows for easy and fast processing under defined conditions as well as keeping dimensions and their tolerances. The chambers may also be used for storage of polyamide items, which must show a defined water content on demand.

The chambers may be installed both in unheated halls or sheltered on the factory premises. In these instances, a small heating panel against frost may be optionally installed, operating only when necessary.

Standard chamber sizes with underframe

All heights are 2100 mm without frame. External dimensions of the chambers are represented, wall thickness is 80mm. Height of underframe is about 150 mm. Doorway is 800 x 1850 mm.

Putting skeleton containers or pallets into the chambers

Chambers for inserting skeleton containers or pallets are available in different sizes, clear width of the doorway is 900 mm here.
